Dustin Bush is a graduate of Evangel University with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music. Dustin teaches K-6 General Music with a vocal emphasis and directs the Middle School and High School choirs for Grace Classical Academy. For the 2018-19 season he started and directs the Grace Classical Academy bands. He is also a teacher for Play and Sing His Praises, a homeschool music program in Springfield which serves over 350 homeschool students from 3 states. At PSHP he focuses on brass and percussion for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players, as well as working with the High School choir and High School Orchestra. Dustin is currently active in Four State Symphonic Winds and a substitute horn for the Missouri Philharmonic Orchestra (formerly the Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra). He is also a regular performer and director within a variety of ensembles. He previously served on board for the Belleville Bell Notes Chorus (now The Sounds of Harmony Chorus) in Illinois and on board for the Southwest Home Education Ministry (SHEM) with his wife helping organize the Springfield annual homeschool convention and other events. His six children are homeschooled by his wife, Melanie, who is also a musician and educator, volunteers as the BCS librarian.
